ABRAXAS HYPNOSIS CENTER - Your Path to Trance-formation

We are all aware of the abundance of evidence that exists for the substantial medical advantage to an individual quitting smoking. However, in the years of assisting people to quit smoking, a significant number of people seek hypnosis as a effective, efficient, and natural means of quitting smoking once any cancer is diagnosed. There is substantial evidence that continued smoking may reduce the effectiveness of cancer treatment and increase the likelihood of a second cancer. (Refer to the “Smoking as a Risk for Second Malignancy”).
The relationships between smoking, co-morbid disease occurrence and/or recurrence, and mortality rates for prostate cancer have been examined. Studies have found an association between continued smoking and earlier recurrence and increased mortality. In a study of 1,416 men who underwent radical prostatectomy, recurrence occurred after a mean of 7.3 years in 34.3% of current smokers, 14.8% of former smokers, and 12.1% of those who had never smoked. Another study found higher 5-year mortality rates in patients with stage D2 disease (88% vs. 63%) and non–stage A disease (39% vs. 17%). In a prospective observational study of 5,366 men, prostate cancer–specific death rates were 15.3 per 1,000 person-years for current smokers versus 8.6 per 1,000 person-years for those who had never smoked. Those prostate cancer patients who quit smoking for 10 years or longer, had mortality rates similar to those of nonsmokers.
The American Lung Association reports, “Key Facts about Smoking Among Women”:
Smoking is directly responsible for 80 percent of lung cancer deaths in women in the U.S. each year. In 1987, lung cancer surpassed breast cancer as the leading cause of cancer deaths among women in the U.S.
Female smokers are nearly 13 times more likely to die from COPD (emphysema and chronic bronchitis) compared to women who have never smoked. In 2009, an estimated 70,490 women died of lung and bronchus cancer.
Smoking is directly responsible for more than 90 percent of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or emphysema and chronic bronchitis deaths each year.  In 2006, about 52 percent of all COPD deaths were in women. This is the seventh year in a row that women have outnumbered men in deaths attributable to COPD.
Women who smoke also have an increased risk for developing cancers of the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx (voice box), esophagus, pancreas, kidney, bladder, and uterine cervix. Women who smoke also double their risk for developing coronary heart disease.

Our program has had terrific success and all that is needed is that you have a sincere desire to end your smoking habit for good. No medications or nicotine supplements are necessary. Hypnosis for Smoking Cessation is safe and permanent, and, when one considers the cost of continuing your smoking habit, quite economical.

“Of all documented smoking cessation protocols, hypnosis is the most effective”.
The recent research supporting using hypnosis for quitting smoking has been extremely positive.
The Statistics
Research studies show that the success rate for hypnosis is above 66%, using a four session protocol. Compare that to the success rates of trying to quit without help 5%, using behavior therapy 25% or using Nicotine Replacement Products, 25% and it’s clear that hypnosis is a wise choice. In fact, there is no other method supported by research with this kind of success rate.
It is important to understand, that not all hypnosis programs are not created equal.
In order to get the 66% success rate, you have to pay attention to a couple of details.
1. It requires a commitment to at least 4 sessions. This also means that all of those one session promises and group hypnotherapy sessions are pretty much of little worth and are often beyond misleading, and often results in clients feeling discouraged in themselves and the process of hypnotherapy.
2. There are specific protocols used that licensed hypnotherapists have been trained to utilize, that are based on proven research. When choosing a hypnotherapist, it is important the therapist be a licensed psychotherapist, or you may not get the results that hypnosis can bring.
3. The quality of hypnotherapy varies widely and it is very important to do your research before choosing a hypnotherapist. Being sure that the hypnotherapist is fully accredited by a reputable school or certification board is essential. You need to make sure they have a license in psychotherapy and can provide you with proof that they are licensed to practice mental health and have been formally trained in the use of hypnosis, from the NBCCH, or American Hypnosis Association.
4. Finding a qualified therapist is extremely difficult, and if you do find one - expect to pay at about $200 a session.
Therefore, you are looking at spending at least $800 for effective hypnotherapy if you do it in person. If you settle for someone with just a certificate, you are just wasting your money.

The Cost of Abraxas Hypnosis Center Smoking Cessation Hypnosis Sessions vs. Your Health
Many individuals who come to me seeking to stop smoking often do not follow through because they are concerned about the cost of the program. For that reason, please allow me to put the program into perspective for you.
Here is a very quick and easy way to put the monetary cost of my hypnosis smoking cessation program and the monetary cost of smoking into a simple formula for you.
What is the average cost of a cigarette pack?
According to: Answers.com > Wiki Answers > Categories > Health > Addictions > Smoking and Tobacco Use > Tobacco and Tobacco Products > Cigarettes > What is the average cost of a cigarette pack?
Answer: In the US, between $4 and $6 dollars depending where you buy them. But many states tax the sale of cigarettes heavily. A pack of cigarettes in New York City costs an additional $4.25 per pack in city and state taxes!!
The average smoker spends about $1,825 a year on cigarettes.
1 pack of cigarettes per day =$5.00+ per day.
$5.00 x 7 days= $35.00
$5.00 x 30 days= $150.00
$150.00 x 12 months= $1800.00 x 10 years = $18,000.00.

©Abraxas Hypnosis Center for pain relief and management
There are many pain medications on the market today. We are bombarded by ads on TV and in magazines telling us how they will ease our pain. At the end of the ad there is usually a disclaimer telling about the risks such as heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular problems and under what circumstances not to take the particular medication.
Taking prescription or nonprescription medications for chronic pain, all have potential side effects such as allergic reaction, diabetes, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, and constipation, can take weeks to have an effect, and in some incidences even create dependency!
Why take medications that can cause other illnesses when there is an alternative method for achieving pain relief?
Because thoughts and emotions can and do effect pain, hypnotherapy provides the behavioral modification that is often needed to effect change. More and more hypnosis is gaining respect from medical and psychological professionals, many of whom refer their patients for hypnotherapy.
During hypnosis the subject is better able to concentrate intensely on a particular thought or feeling leaving them open to the suggestions that can eliminate or change the level of pain. There is no loss of consciousness, personality, free will or personal strength and subjects are alert and aware of all that is going on around them. A willingness to experience hypnosis is important to its success. Some have referred to hypnosis as a mental massage!
Hypnosis can be effective in the treatment of chronic pain such as headaches, childbirth arthritis, fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, dental and surgical procedures just to name a few. It is a naturally occurring state and has been approved by the American Medical Association since 1958.
Hypnotherapy does not take the place of medical care and anyone taking medications should consult with their physician before making any changes in dosages.
